La Pachonnée, La Rosiere
Annual telemark festival in La Rosiere. Lovely folks and fantastic costumery. Spring snow conditions despite being January due to the warm spell. More info here. In the background, Mont Pourri.

Ducks in Finland in mid January?
Here are ducks at one of the lakes in Helsinki, Töölönlahti. A rare sight this month as the lake should be frozen over. This weekend I went to see a film called Babel which was a challenge to follow - the long scenes in Japanese, Spanish and Moroccan had only Finnish/Swedish subtitles... :)
