Eurovision song contest - Finland wins.
We all thought Finland's Lordi was funny, but off they went to win (see the video), and the Eurovision song contest changes direction forever. Finland has previously been last a record nine times. Not surprisingly the UK public voted Lordi #1, and my phone vote was part of that endorsement. After the decisive contest Timo from Tampere sent me a text saying "Next step - Finland for the football world cup". Anything is possible :)
